Our performing arts summer workshops are for children, teens, and young adults who love theater and wish to further develop their skills. Our setup is simple, we replicate a summer stock production company environment and schedule. We offer performing arts training as well as performance opportunities. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment to enable young people to hone their craft and love of acting!!
All teachers and directors are working theater arts professionals with extensive experience. Summer 2012, TAC was fortunate to have Russell Fischer from B’Way Jersey Boys, Tony Gonzales Dance captain and Swing from B’Way’s hit Mamma Mia, and Brad Bass from Memphis and Wicked. Each of these talented performers and choreographers staged pieces that were showcased in the Broadway Bound Musical Revue! The 2011 Ensemble worked with Stephanie Klemons, Dance Captain from B’way’s In The Heights, J. Austin Eyer B’Way Billy Elliot, Kevin Duda B’way Book of Mormon, & Angelo Fraboni B’way Jerome Robbin.
Along with Music Theatre International, TAC was the first to produce a full-length youth version of the Tony award winning Broadway hit, Spring Awakening. We are thrilled that Music Theatre International has chosen TAC (EIGHT years in a row) as a National Test Site for development of their Broadway Junior catalogue of new musicals. We very much appreciate their confidence in the quality of our shows.
We are also fortunate to be premiering TAMS WIDMARK’S school edition of BYE BYE BIRDIE this July 2013, as was Wizard of Oz in the summer of 2012.
